I love the way this is so intricate and needs total concentration…….It was perfect for me when my husband was in hospital!! I would recommend it for anyone with advanced skills who wants a challenge. It is not the first of your black work designs I have done but is even more interesting as it is not symmetrical. I look forward to your next creation.

16/10/21 Great service but tiny tiny graph

Instruction graph is so so tiny. I am having to photo on phone and enlarge to see the colour coding. May have to try enlarge sections on a colour photocopier. Otherwise, very well packaged and beautiful design. There was a little note to say one thread was out of stock and was to follow - let’s hope that arrives before I need it - but this is certainly not a short term quick project😀

I can’t thank you enough for the surprise mail I received today. Not only have you read my feedback but responded to it. The enlarged stitching grid will be such a boon. I have been sitting under a very bright light and trying to hold the original one supplied close in the same hand as that holding the frame. I can’t see me whizzing through the design as it is still a long term project, but I had foreseen that I may have given up previously as it was so hard. I don’t have dreadful eyesight but I am a varifical wearer in my mid fifties, so vision is not as good as I would wish.

The pattern includes very thorough instructions and several close-ups of trickier parts. It made buying the thread palette easy and I've already gotten started. It's a complicated pattern and 18-count aida is pretty small so it will take me awhile to complete. I like the combination of cross stitch and blackwork.

Love this pattern. Instructions are clear. I view the pattern on my tablet and this makes it easy to zoom in on the smaller areas. Highly recommend viewing the pattern on a tablet. I haven't stitched it yet but having almost finished the OWL pattern, and perusing the instructions for the elephant, I'm confidant I will love this one just as much as I love the Owl.

At first I thought I might have been a bit ambitious in choosing the owl design as my first adventure in blackwork but once the face had been completed it was much plainer sailing. The colours and patterns keep changing so your interest is held and, as the stitching uses only one strand of embroidery thread, the detail is very fine and easily seen. I like it very much. Given the amount of design and materials included in the kit, I think it is very good value for money. Overall, I am very pleased and would purchase again from Doodlecraft Design,
